STORRIE {18 months old}

Image
 My sweet baby girl turned 18 months on May 19th. You would think after five children (and one step child), how fast they grow would stop surprising me. Well.. it doesn't:) I just can not believe how big she has gotten and how fast time is going. Storrie really is jut the sweetest, easiest, happiest baby. She is such a joy. And smart! I mean REALLY SMART ! I guess having two big brothers and a big sister to play with all the time.. Not to mention Sami, Maddie B. ,Maddie M. , Cory, Julz and Lexie to play with (And to be spoiled by) has really helped. This sweet girl is talking up a storm! She can put three words together and express what she wants pretty good. She loves to sing and dance. There are so many wonderful things about our sweet Storrie.. But here are a few of my favorites... Talking.... Storrie can say Oliver, Bubblegum (our puppy's name), Shoe, Sami, Ta-Dah, color, tickle-tickle, what's that and right there. When we tell her "love you"

Jeff....

The past five weeks have been just almost surreal.  Jeff was admitted to the hospital two days after Easter. Over Easter weekend he became ill. Fever, chills and just felt ICK!! Then his toe and leg started to swell. He had a blister that just wasn't healing (thank you diabetes)  So on that Monday he went to the doctor. The doctor told him that he was doing everything he was suppose to and to keep it up. He didn't think that the toe was infected, but was worried about the leg swelling. He referred him to a specialist. So Tuesday, after he woke up with his leg even more swollen and a toe double the size and a blackish, purple color, Jeff went into the specialist. I was at ballet with Lils when I got the call... They where admitting him to the hospital ASAP! Thankfully I have the most wonderful mother who dropped everything to come stay with the kids and AMAZING friends who pitched in to help until she could get here. The first day was probably one of the scariest of my lif

Easter {2015}

We celebrated Easter with our friends (and neighbors) this year. And also Lexie. It was so much fun to have all these kids here for a Easter egg hunt and for dinner. It was so much fun celebrating with this crew. A little sad... This was the first year Oliver did not want to hunt eggs. He is growing up way to fast!!! LOVE these little ones!!!    Storrie  was not shy about hunting the eggs at all!! She was the cutest thing you have ever seen!   I guess this Easter was the calm before the storm...We knew Jeff was ill, but had no clue how bad he was. We defiantly had no clue how drastically our life was about to change. Be sure to check out the next Blog post .....

My Mothers Day and a Thank you

Image
What a wonderful Mothers Day it has been. Easy, peaceful and laid back. Started off the day with with Starbucks and snuggles from the littles. Then a wonderful (and very rare) nap. And a phone call from my oldest. The sound of her voice always melts my heart. The best part of the day was a movie date with my Oliver.   We really needed this one on one time together! I love being these kids mom (and Brenna's step mother). They each bring a true joy to my heart. They are my greatest blessings and the best part of my life. They each have their own story of how they became my child... One through biology. one by marriage and four through adoption. But no matter the way they became mine.. I love them each with all that I am!! Now as Storrie is tucked in for the night, Oliver is watching "Brave" and Colt and Lilly are playing outside.. I can not help but to think of the four woman, who with out their sacrifice, I would not be a mother to
