Fun at the carnival

Image
This week end there was a little carnival in town. We promised the big kids if they would be good all weekend and not fight we would go on Sunday. WOW!!! They actually got along better then I can remember. Snuggling on the couch and everything. So we loaded up the care Sunday afternoon and headed out. Colt was so excited he could hardly stand it. Until we got there. Then he was totally glued to my side for at least a hour but after eating his weigh in cotton candy he was all about having fun. The big kids had a blast and where fearless

To My Sweet Boy....

Oh Colt Where do I begin?  We have such a super connection. Maybe it's because I spent seventeen years dreaming of you. Waiting for you. Praying for you. All those emotions. Hopes. Planning. Maybe it is the countless hours I spent when you where first born holding you. Smelling your sweet baby head. Looking into your face. Memorizing every detail of your perfect little body. Maybe it is because you held my heart. My soul. Maybe it is because  we share so many of the same strengths and weaknesses. Well, my sweet Coltie... you make me so happy, so proud, so full. You brought meaning meaning to my life that I never knew existed. When you where born, something changed in me forever. I pray that you will know and love and serve God as you grow older. As much as I want you to stay my baby forever... I cannot wait to see you chase your dreams. You will be 3 next month. Exactly a month from today.  I can't believe it! Already! I love watching you grow and chang

Yesterday I was sitting at the bar in our kitchen {shopping on Facebook} and all of a sudden I was attacked by a dinosaur. Yulp... You heard me. A dinosaur . Colt had his plastic little dinosaur and was pretending that it was going to eat me. The Dino specially liked my toes. Then the dinosaur got hungry for Lilly's dinner Colt even shared his binkie with his little friend I just love this little boy so much and all of his cuteness

Happy Valentine's Day

When you have as many kids as we do, part of celebrating holidays involves running from this school to that one, from this class to that one. It can get exhausting, but I have to admit... I LOVE it! I just love being a Mom. Even with all the craziness that can come along with it. Sadly, Jeff had to work and could not make it to any of the kids parties. I know how much it bothers him to miss any of the kids events. I am so blessed to have a husband that works so hard so that I can stay home with the kids and never have to miss anything. Last week Colt's CDO did Muffins with Parents in lieu of Valentine day parties. It was crazy with all the small kids , but still fun. Lils just loves 'kickin back and watching all the bigger kids act crazy Today was Brenna and Oliver's parties First stop Bren's class room Brenna's 5th Grade Party Kinda sad.. Brenna has only one more year of parties before she goes to big kid school Ollie's 1st Gra

Colt the Builder

Colt has been playing with blocks for a while. I can always tell by his little face that he is creating something. But yesterday he brought me is newest creation and told me he built a house. He looked at it so seriously and said "Where's the door? Where it at? Where it go?" He tried so hard to figure out how to build it with a door. I just love to see the way his little mind works and to witness his excitement

MOPS Valentine Day Party

Image
I just LOVE being a part of this special group of ladies. MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) has been a God send to me. Last week we had our MOPS Valentine's Day party. It was a blast! It was extra special for me since it was the first time that Lilly really participated. It was so fun to watch her get in the middle of every ting and play with the other kids. I have to share this picture of my sweet friend Angie giving one of her twins a "nose" kiss Little children, let us not love {merely} in theory or in speech but in deed and in truth {in practice and in sincerity}.       1 John 3:18

Sweetness

Nothing much to post. Just a whole lot of sweetness from my babies. I just love the way Colt and Ollie love each other. Colt will follow Oliver around like a little puppy. Ollie is such a good big brother. He is always trying to teach Colt new things and explain to him how and why everything works. It can get pretty funny at times. When Colt gets put in to time out it is so funny, he will scream "Ollllllllliiieeee..... heeeeeeeellllllllllllp me" and when Jeff or I are getting on to Oliver Colt will get between us and say, "Stop it Momma (or Daddy)! That my Ollie". This weekend we Ollie made his Valentine Day box and filled out his cards for school. He was so sweet. He put so much thought in all his friends cards. He wanted to make sure they all got their favorite color. It amazes me everyday how much Colt is growing and changing. This morning Colt got to wear his new shoes. He was so funny. He kept saying "Look Momma, dinosaurs. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..
