11 Months {Storrie}

Image
{October 19th} How can my littlest princess be 11 months old?? How is it possible that in just one month she will be one year old?? Where has the last eleven months gone?? PLEASE someone tell me how to slow down time!!   This little girl is getting harder and harder to photograph!! I took a million photos and these are as good as I could get! What your up too... *You are not a fan of your baby food any more, but you are loving "real" food. Your favorites are bananas, cheese, pasta, frozen peas and sweet potatoes. *You are getting four {yes FOUR} new teeth. Theo more on top and twom more on bottom for a grand total of twelve sweet little choppers:) You are seriously the best baby! You hardly fuss at all. *You REALLY adore your Daddy. "Da-Da" is your favorite word and you get so excited anytime you see him. *You love to clap. Every time we say "YAY baby" you clap then raise your hands. *You also live to mimic sounds we make.

WISHES FOR MY DAUGHTERS

Image
I have read a few different posts similar to this that have inspired me to write my own list of 'life lessons'. Lessons that I hope my daughter will learn, little bits of wisdom that I hope she will take with her and some words that may serve to carry her through hard times. Life is so short and being a nurse I know that it can be taken away far to early. No person, no family, is immune to illness or heartbreak and as much as I pray to live long enough to model and teach her all of these lessons, I know I'm not immune and life is uncertain. It's taken me quite some time to write this list, keeping a journal at my bedside and in my purse to jot down what I feel are some of the most important lessons life has taught me in my twenty-some years.  This post is dedicated to my beautiful daughters... Sara, Lilly and Storrie...                     First and foremost, you are so very loved and always will be. I will always be in your corner

4th Grade School Pictures {Oliver}

Image
I have professional pictures made of my littles ALL. THE. TIME! Seriously.. At least ten times a year. And I cherish them. But some of my very most favorite pictures are the ones that will never make it into a frame.    I just adore the goofy, silly school pictures! I still can not believe that my little boy just took his 4th grade school picture! A little silly but VERY handsome!! I see so much of his daddy in that sweet face!! I wish I could freeze time and keep him this age for forever.         Oliver HATES this picture... He says he has "crazy eyes"..             I did not realize how much these silly pictures would mean to me until Sara was almost grown and I looked back on all of hers. They made me laugh. They made me cry. They caught who she was at the time. Some goofy, some were great. But they were all her! They show who she was at that time in her life. Just as this picture is all Oliver. My beautiful, funny little man!! I was super exc

Air Show {2015}

Image
This years Air Show was THE.BEST.EVER!! Why you ask??? Easy.... Because of this little boy right here.... My precious boy was mesmerized. He was so excited. It made my heart so happy to see this side of him come out. He is such a boy.. ALL boy. He has always loved trucks, trains and motorcycles... But now he has a love for planes.   Cory was almost as excited as Colt.. I think Oliver was a bit board!!      My prissy little girl had a blast playing in the dirt:)   It was a great day.. A bit on the cold side but tons of fun. We really were glad Sami, Cory and Maddie got to come with us. We really missed Brenna.. Just another family moment that she missed out on. But no matter what, Brenna is always in our heart and thoughts.

23 {Sara}

23 Years ago on October 7th, I became a mom to this beautiful young lady!!               My precious Sara... I can not believe that is has been 23 years since they first placed you in my arms. At that moment I learned what true love was.   Watching you as a little girl...Watching you grow... Has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. You have always been such a source of pride and joy to me. You were the most perfect, beautiful baby I had ever seen. And now.. You are the most beautiful, perfect young woman I have ever seen. You will never know how much I love you.. Cherish you!! I look at your life and I am amazed at your strength.   As a mother, all I have ever wanted was to keep you safe and protected. For you to have the happiest of happy childhoods. Sadly there was so much I could not protect your from. Your childhood was not what I wished for you. You have had to face so much and at such a very young age.. But you My Love... You cam

We are M.I.S.D {part 1}

      Here is a sneak peek of the first add for Jeff's M.I.S.D School board campaign.   I just love how this captures the fun side of his personality and shows who he really is with Storrie. He loves nothing more then to make her laugh.. which she does every time he walks in the room. This girl LOVES her Daddy!!!   I can hardly wait to see the rest of the adds!!

The Pledge of Allegience {Lilly}

Image
The school day is always started with the children saying The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag The children take turns holding the flag then they get to be the "leader". Yesterday was Lilly's turn. She was so excited until she was up there, then she got a bit shy.  But she did a GREAT job!!      I sent these pictures to her Daddy and he text back "She is so beautiful. I am crying".  I just always want her to know how proud her Daddy is of her:)     I just love the way Lils is looking at Coltie in this picture.

MISD Campaign Photo Shoot

After being asked by a few different people, a lot of thought and prayer.. Jeff decided to throw his hat in the ring for a position on the school board. Education is extremely important to my husband and no one I know has more of a love for children.       This one leaves me speechless!! This little girl is just stunning! This is a new favorite for sure!!!     Win or lose these .. These pictures are worth it:) I know that they will be treasured for years to come. They truly represent the relationship Jeff has with each of our little ones. Looking at these.. It made me fall in love with my husband all over again.  I am so blessed to be married to a man that adores his children the way Jeff does. And they love him as much as he loves them. And this picture is priceless... Shows just how beautiful and non-perfect my little family is. I would not change a thing!! A special THANK YOU! To Tonia Kemper. She is not only a amazing photo

St. Ann's Fair

Image
One of my most favorite silly little family traditions is the St. Ann's Fair.  It takes place not to far from our house, so soon as it starts to go up and the kids get the first glimpse of the Farris wheel, the excitement begins!!   Oliver was such a good sport! He rode all the little kid rides with Colt and Lilly. He was so protective over his little sister:)  Finally my little man got to ride the "big kid" rides:)   One of our favorite things about the Fair... Yummy food..lol        Lilly played her first Carnival game:)  Lilly was so proud of her Dolphin.. Later in the day she feel asleep holding it's flipper.               This was Storrie's first time to go to the Fair ......     ....and the first time ever that Brenna did not go with us. As much fun as we had... There was a dark shadow over the day.. We REALLY missed Brenna. This year Jeff just could not make the round trip to Harper
