Super Ollie's 7th Birthday Party

Image
Oliver's birthday is so close to Christmas that we find that it is easier to do a small family party on his actual birthday then have his BIG party a few weeks later. He loves this because it makes his birthday last almost all month long. This year I just could not handle another party at the house so we decided to have the party at Mr. Gatti's pizza. Ollie had a total blast. He was so pumped up. And just because they are so cute... a few pics of the babies at Ol's party Happy birthday our sweet Ollie Bear! You are such a joy and the most amazing 7 year old EVER!!!

The Great Binkie War

Image
We have been talking to Colt about giving up his binkies. The other night Jeff told him he was a big boy and asked him if he REALLY still need a baby binkie? This was Colt's response                                I am thinking that we have a very long road ahead of us on this one.

Thankful.....

As I am picking up toys and preparing to sweep, mop and vacuum for what feels like the hundredth time just this week. As I am planning the meal that I know will be a fight to get the kids to eat.  I start to feel what is the use. I start to complain to myself... They are just going to mess it up again. The laundry is always crazy no matter how hard I try to stay on top of it. I am sick of Blues Clues and Mickey Mouse on the TV.I am so frustrated at never having a orderly home and then... WHAM ... I am hit with a over whelming sense of thankful ness. I can't help but be reminded of all the years of my floors being perfectly clean and everything in order. My home silent and peaceful. Having full nights of sleep and most of all.... my arms being empty . I can remember just praying for a baby to wake me up at night. To have a excuse to buy all those sweet baby toys that now liter my floors and clothes that have my washer for ever going for. Some one to fill my empty arms. Now as I

A Very Special Christmas

Image
Christmas eve Oliver was so excited that he started to try and get everyone in bed at 5pm. It was cute and annoying at the same time. Finally 8pm came and it was bed time. Ol's was so pumped up he just could not sleep.Jeff ended up sleeping down stairs to guard the "Santa" gifts. Early Christmas morning Ollie woke us up jumping all over the bed. Colt was excited because Ollie was and Lilly looked like she just wanted to go back to bed. Once Colt opened his stocking and saw Hot Wheels, he was done. It took a lot of doing to get him to finish opening his gifts. Lilly was all about opening her gifts. She is so much like me when it comes to getting presents:) Ollie wore his bike helmet almost all day and kept saying "can you believe Santa made me a bike"? As wonderful as this day was I could not help being a little sad. Sara not being here just did not feel normal. I do not think I will ever get use to her being all grown up. This was a extra special Christm
