Our Friday

My husband is so thoughtful. He sent one of his sectary's to come over and watch the little's while I had my hair done. It was nice to get out of the house and be "baby free" for a few hours.I was able to just sit back and relax and enjoy some adult conversation with out chasing little ones. I go to the greatest salon here in Midland. It is called Plush Salon. The girl who does my hair owns the salon and is probably one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. She is amazing with my hair, a true artist. My hair has never looked so good.  I always walk out of there feeling beautiful.  I wish I would of thought to snap a picture of my hair. :)

On  my way home I stopped by a friends house for a minute. She is as clothes obsessed as I am for her twins. She is sweet enough to sell me the clothes that her daughter (she has boy/girl twins) has out grown. Emma probably wears her clothes once or twice just like Lilly so everything looks like new. I have already got several from her. I picked up 10 more today. I have no clue where or how I am going to store all this. They go up to size 4. Last year I got a bunch of 12M to 2T and it is so fun to see Lilly wear them now.

Brenna has been away at a Christian camp with her and her mom's church, Mid Cities. This is her fourth year going. She loves it. A few years back she gave her life to the Lord at this camp,Her mom was going out of town for the weekend so Jeff and I picked her up. The bus was late so the little's got to play a little. I love how they make the most out of every moment.

Stopping to smell the flowers. :)

Finally the bus arrived.

To be honest... she was very  a bit cranky. As in a preteen monster with attitude flying all over the place. She snapped at Jeff the moment she got off the bus then at me. That is a BIG no in my book.  Not at all what we expected. We had to have a little come to Jesus talk. This puberty thing is not fun at all. Mood swings deluxe and oh the attitude. We just pray we will survive the teen years... Eeeeek!!!
We went ahead and went to the welcome home dinner that we planned for her and within half a hour our sweet Brenna was back. She was just really tired and sad that this will be her last year at this camp until she can be a counselor in 8th grade.

On the way home I saw on Facebook that Colt's CDO teacher, Trisha, who is also becoming a friend to me, and her husband Ken were in the hospital with their one year old son Ian. They thought he had a hernia and that his bowels were dying. Very scary!! Trisha and her ken lost their first son about a year before Ian was born so if possible this makes him even that much more special. On our way home Jeff ran me by the hospital.. I really wanted to pray for them.. He stayed in the car with our littles while I ran up to see the family. Ian had just came out of surgery and both mom and dad were all smiles. He is going to be just fine.. Praise God!Thankfully she took him to the doctor when she did. With out the surgery they could of lost this precious boy. God is so good!!!

God, my rock in Him will I out my faith, my breast plate and the horn of my salvation, my high tower and my safe place; my savior, who keeps me safe...
