Oliver's Second Grade Field Day

Last Tuesday was our Oliver's 2nd grade Field day. I took Lilly to the baby sitter but kept Colt with me so he could watch his big brother on Field Day. Colt was super excited and proud to go to Oliver's school. His friends were super sweet to Colt and made him feel like one of the big kids. Oliver was as cute and funny as ever goofing off with his friends. Thankfully it was such a beautiful morning so we really enjoyed being out. I love nothing more then watching Oliver be a little boy in his environment. He is such a silly, wonderfully funny little boy.  I  just can not believe that this is our Oliver's last week of being a second grader. It really is hitting me how fast my sweet littles are growing up

When we went to pick Lilly up at the baby sitter's, Colt was in for a surprise. The apartment complex is redoing their pool so there was tons of tractors and big trucks. This was a dream come true for my truck obsessed little boy. The contractor was GREAT! He invited Colt over to watch and let him wear a hard hat. He shakes Colt's hand and talked to him like he was a big kid. Colt was glowing!! He also gave him ear plugs that attach on a plastic string. Colt carried them around for days!! These type of moments are what I live for. The unplanned surprises that make my little boy truly happy. And of course.. My sweet Lilly had them eating out of her hand as well:)
