My Surprise Party (am I really 40??)

Sunday before last, my sister of the heart, Dana, came by to take me to lunch for my birthday day. So "just" her and I could celebrate together.

I was running around like a crazy woman getting kids down for their naps and trying to finish getting myself ready. Jeff was being kind of a jerk insisting that I not be gone long because he had things to do. When we finally left the house Dana was acting weird about where she wanted to go. She kept naming all these place that are closed on Sundays. She even pulled the car over at one point and was on her phone. She said it was to find a picture of someone she wanted to show me. Finally she talked me to going to SteinMart. SteinMart is a total hit or miss kind of place and on Sunday it defiantly was a miss! Everything in that place looked like something my Grandmother would of worn or reminded me a lot of my mother's curtains. Dana kept wanting to look at stuff and was even making a fuss over some really ugly clothing (she was really worrying me about the direction her fashion sense was starting to take..Ha!) She also kept texting the whole time. Honestly, it was starting to get on my nerves.. Ha!.. One of my pet peeves is people who can not stay of their cell phones while hanging out with me. Dana does not normally do that so I was letting it slide;)

FINALLY she wanted to leave. All the sudden she was starving. Honestly I thought she was acting a little strange, but I was tired and worried about being gone to long and Jeff getting upset that I did not think much of it. She said she wanted to have a drink with her lunch and suggested Sedona Grill.

So... We get to the restaurant and I ran to the restroom. When I came back out she was standing right there waiting for me (again... WEIRD!!) She said she did not want to sit down by herself, but that she got us a table. So I followed her to the back and all the sudden I was pounced on my several of my best friends. Some one was sticking a crown on my head and some one else was putting a feather boa on me. I was in shock!! It still took a few seconds to realize the beautiful table, cake and people were there for me. I was super blown away and blessed beyond measure ( I am teary even writing this).

Is the cake amazing or what?! And see that beautiful table?? It was a gift from two of my sweet friends (thank you Tonia and Jennifer)

Can you tell how loved I am feeling? I was smiling so big I am surprise my mouth did not break:)

(It is GREAT to have a friend who uses photo shop:)

From what I understand that the party was Dana's idea and she enlisted Tonia's help in planning it. But Connie, Leanda and Missy were a big part of helping also.

These girls are truly some of my best friends. They keep my deepest secrets, hold my most treasured memories and are my greatest supporters. I love them more then I could ever say and thank God for each and everyone of them. I am who I am because of the roles they have played in my life.

I have waited to post because I was waiting for the rest of the pictures from Tonia. But I decided I can always do a part two later:)
