Lets try this again.....

We all know that I truly have failed as a Blogger the past several month (ok years) ... But with my family growing from four to still at home to eight in less then two years, well, lets just say I have been cRaZy busy to say the least.

So much I want to get caught upon, but for now lets start with the first.

On April 3rd I received a message from Lilly's bio grandmother.
Apparently Lilly had a new baby brother who just turned one in March. The baby was in foster care and about to be adopted to his foster family. This would mean Lilly and her other bio sibling (who are being raised by their great-grandmother) would never get the chance to know their brother.
That day I called both social workers at least a hundred times each. FINALLY I got a call back at the end of the day , just to tell me it was to late.
Thankfully Jeff intervened on the behalf of Lilly. And the process to bring our baby boy home begin.
Over the next few months our lives where turned upside down.
Our emotions where all over the place.
We held on to each other and to God's word and prayed daily for God to bring our baby home, where he belonged.

Love at first sight

This is the picture the case worker sent us. This was the first time we saw our son. I could not stop looking at it. Probably a hundred times a day. I would pray for  our sweet boy and that his transition be easy. I prayed for the family that had cared for him for the last year and their hearts in losing him.
And when Lilly first saw this picture... she started shaking and crying. She said .. Momma, he is just so beautiful.

Thankfully his foster parents agreed not to fight and allow the baby to be reunited with his sister.
On June 11th our sweet boy joined our family. The social workers drove him from Midland to Harper. I really thought they would  never arrive. lol. I was so anxious. Lilly was on pins and needles. All the kids where supper exited.
I will never forget the first time I saw him. As I unbuckled him from his car sweet and he reached up to me and gave me the most beautiful smile. Lilly could hardly wait to hold him and basically pulled him from my arms.
It was truly one of the most beautiful, special days of our lives.

We changed his name from La'Vare Dwayne to Levi Warren.
This  little boy has stolen our hearts and is the perfect way to complete our family. He has the most joyful spirit and loving heart. He fits in perfectly .
