What has been going on...
It seems that one or the other of the kids is saying or doing something that amazes me, cracks me up and sometimes just pull my hair out.
Ollie finished his first week of 1st grade,
When Jeff picked him up after the first day he said "I like this first grade thing".
I did get a call from the teacher. Just what a mom wants to receive on the fourth day of school.
Oliver has a hard time sitting still and listening. I have a meeting with the teacher Monday. He is so funny and creative, but he has a lazy streak and likes doing his own thing. Jeff asked him why he was not minding. Oliver replied " I don't know Dad. Sometimes I just go koo-koo in my brain and I have to let it out".
Lilly is growing so fast. She is loving this crawling thing. She is all over the place. She does the normal crawl , on the knees and hands, but she just started where she will get up on her feet and crawl with her bottom up in the air.
She is pulling up on everything and into everything.
Colt has really gotten into coloring here lately. This makes an artist mommy's heart very happy. The only problem is he wants to color on EVERYTHING!!! The other day I walked into the dining room where I had some canvas paintings that I had been working on. He was in front of one, coloring all over it.
When I said "Colt" he just turned around and looked at me with such pride in his eyes and said "Pu-teeee (pretty) mommy. Sooo pu-teeee". My heart went from sinking with the thought of all the lost work and hours I put into it, to swelling with so much love for this sweet little boy.
Yesterday he decided coloring on the kitchen counter was more fun then his coloring paper.
When I got on to him, he just looked at me, put his hands up and said " Ak-a-dint (accident) Mommy, ak-a-dint ". So I cleaned it up and told him not to do it again, to color on the paper. When I looked over again, he was coloring all over the counter again. I decided to have him clean his mess up himself. He was not happy about it.
Lilly and Colt are starting to play together. She loves to follow her Bubbie around and much as I try to play cars with him. Colt is not always very happy about this, specially when she is trying to take his cars away from him. But most of the time it is really sweet.
I feel so blessed how much my boys love each other and how much they adore their baby.
Here are just a few random pictures from this week. I always take so many and it is very difficult to decide what to use in my blog, scrapbook and to share on Facebook. My babies are just so beautiful.

I loved buying this little walking toy. A cute, pink, baby doll stroller. |
Looks like it is time to lower the mattress on the crib. |
Lilly's first oops. Thanks goodness she was not hurt. |
