Our weekend.......
I had been looking forward to this weekend for so long. It was a light at the end of the tunnel, a much needed break. The MOPS (Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers) DGL (Discussion Group Leader) retreat. But sadly it was not meant to be. Lilly was sick and Colt was not feeling well so I stayed at home to care for my babies.
Colt picked me a flower for the first time.
He was so excited and proud to give it to me.
I was able to take them outside for a few minutes before it got too hot. I cannot wait until this heat wave is gone. I feel so sorry for my little boy. He loves it outside and begs daily to go play, but it is just too darn hot at 102 to 107 days
The girls and I decided to make cookies. They where so funny.
And of course Colt had to get in on the action
One of the best parts of the weekend is my beautiful friend Becky, her daughter Summer and granddaughter Ryder came over to pick up Lexie and I got to spend a hour with them. I love these girls so much and am so blessed to be living life with them.
And of course, as I posted in Lilly's 8 month update last night, our little baby is trying to pull herself up. It was so wonderful to be able to share this moment with Jeff. I feel sorry for him that he has to work and misses out on so many milestones with the babies. Tonight she is offically crawling backward.
I miss my Ollie bear so much. I can't wait until he comes home. I am happy he gets to spend time with his Lubbock family, but our family is not the same without him here. Even when he is gone only a few days, there is a light that is missing from our home.

Even though I missed a wonderful weekend with my friends and Lilly cried pretty much Thursday morning till Saturday evening and Colt kept me up all night last night and today I feel like a zombie, I have to say I still had a wonderful weekend. Ollie is staying a few days with his Nana, so Brenna got a weekend with us with out her little pest, as she ever so sweetly calls him. My best friend Becky's daughter Lexie got to come spend the night Saturday with Bren. It is so funny watching 11 year old girls interact. They try so hard to be "big" girls, but then you catch them playing with Little Pet Shop. They can be so supportive then turn around and just be mean to one another. When they are not driving me crazy they are cracking me up.
