Fingers Crossed...
Or I should say on my knees praying!!!
Yesterday I took Colt and Lilly to the Montessori school for a interview.
I swear Colt was more excited then he looks... He was just not in the mood to have his picture taken |
I love the way this school tackles learning. It is such a calm environment with a lot of one on one. The children work at their own pace. I had not worry that Lilly would be accepted. She is so bright, even advanced for her age. She LOVES to learn. Matter of fact when the teacher came out after the interview with Lilly her exact words where "She is so bright and such a joy". I was however worried about Colt. I know that he is a very smart little boy. He proves that to us daily. But if a subject does not interest him he just will not pay attention. I know he is behind on his writing skills and a few other areas. He is also just a bit OCD:) The teacher thought he was precious and a sweetheart, but I could tell she was unsure on excepting him. I had already been in prayer about him being excepted.. But last night I was seriously praying. I know in my heart that this is the best school for him and will help him catch up to where he needs to be.
They told me it would be a few days before I would hear back, but thankfully today I got the call. They were first hesitant about Colt, but after the teacher went home and prayed about it {another reason I LOVE this school.. The teacher's pray}She decided that it would be a perfect fit for Colt and that they will be able to help him catch up to where he needs to be. We did decide that instead of moving him onto Kinder that he will have another year of pre-school. But again.. the great thing about this school is the children work at their own pace so he could easily move up to where he is suppose to be.
I can not put into words how thankful {and relieved} I am that my children will have this opportunity.
