The Story of Storrie

I know a lot of you were surprised Tuesday when my Facebook exploded in pictures of our new baby girl. Jeff and I are still in shock ourselves to tell you the truth. We did not even know about our littlest princess until mid October. As many of you know we just underwent a major remodel. It really lasted almost a year with just a few months breaks in between. We became very close to our contractor, Ruben. He became a part of our family. The littles just adore him. During his time in our home he witnessed a adoption of a little boy in May fall through. And when a family member talked to us about adopting her baby he witnessed my excitement, my fear, then my realization that she was not going to be able to let  her baby go. I actually think I knew this before she did.
Ruben new my desire for another baby. He saw daily the love that we have for our little ones. Thankfully he liked what he saw..lol.. When he discovered a extended family member was looking for a forever home for her unborn baby, he told her about us.

The young girl  and her mother came to meet us in October. I was a nervous wreck!! I think they were even more so..lol. I fell in love with them right away. She is only 16 and already has a 1 year old {beautiful} baby boy. She is so shy and has the sweetest spirit. They just were not in a place financially or emotionally to raise another baby. My heart broke for her. It was so obvious the love this little girl has for her babies, both Xzavier and the baby that she had not yet met. But she was determined to do what was best for both babies and her self.
Well they came over, we talked, they left.
I wanted so bad to call her and her  mother every five minutes to see if they made up their minds yet. It was gut wrenching..lol..
Then October .. just a couple days later I received this text message

I reread it a million times.
I forwarded it to Jeff. He called right away. I could hear the tears in his voice.
Soon as he came home he grabbed me and hugged me so tight.
He kept saying over and over again...
WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!

She had not been to the doctor yet, so at her mother's request, I made the appointment.
It took two weeks to get a appointment. The dates she gave the doctor put her due date at the end of November, but after the sonogram the doctor said her due date was December 22.  He also said the fluids around the baby was low and we would have to do 2 or more appointments a week.
Also in this appointment we discovered the gender of the baby...
A GIRL!!!!!

On November 18th we went to another doctor appointment. The said that the fluid was getting lover. They sent us to the hospital and they scheduled a C-section for 5 am the next morning.
(more about that in the next post)

We decided to keep it quit and not post it on Facebook. After losing Sailor then the failed adoption this past summer we were just a little gun shy. Of course I told way to many people..lol.. Just 30 of my closest friends. Ha!! And let me just say I am so thankful for my friends.. Missy, Dana, Cheryl, Tonia, Dee, Holly and Lyndsey were my back bone through all this. Also thankful for my sweet friends Jessica and Wendy who I have never met in person, but through shopping on Facebook..Ha!.. I seriously was a nervous wreck. With out these woman I honestly do not know what I would of done. I lived in fear. Also I am so blessed to be married to a man that but up with all my craziness.
I was afraid to buy very much. I still have not started Storrie's room. I am getting the crib next week though and I know it will all come together. The most important thing is that I have our baby:)

But as you all can see... Storrie was closer to tern then the doctor thought and perfectly healthy.
This little princess is exactly what our family was missing. She was made just for us:)

Thank you all for all your well wishes and out poring of love.
Jeff and I truly feel blessed!!!
