Colt's Baby Room

Next month Colt will be 4.
I can not believe that my miracle is already almost 4 years old. The 17 years I spent praying for him felt more like a hundred and the last four years feels more like 15 minutes.

I am almost embarrassed to admit that he is still sleeping in his crib. He LOVES his baby bed. When Lilly was climbing out of hers he was climbing into his. But it is time {ok.. Past time} for him to be in a big boy bed. I realized that I have never taken pictures of his nursery so I thought if I was going to do it I better get on it. I love his nursery. It makes me smile and I am going to miss it!!

This is the view as you walk into his room.

I adore this armoire. It is the reason why I decided to go with the Cowboy theme.
I plan on keeping it for the new room. I will just swap out the cow print for something else.

Just look at that sweet baby in that picture:)

Colt's beloved baby bed

This makes my heart melt.. These are marks made by his little teeth when he was teething.

This Teddy is about as big as Colt and for the past two and a half years has spent every night with him. Colt uses him like a pillow or will lay on him. I hope he makes the transition to Colt's new bed.

I painted this dresser for Colt while I was waiting for Lilly to be born.

Colt's first birthday invitation

This is one of the first things I bought after we found out Colt was a boy.
I am looking forward to giving it to my grandson some day:)

This puppy and saddle started out in Brenna's room when she was around 4, then moved to Oliver's and now Colt's. The saddle will go, but the puppy will stay. The littles love laying on it while watching cartoons.

Here are a couple paintings I painted for my special little cowboy.

I am really surprised how emotional I am. I am so sad that I will not have a baby bed in our home any longer. My little boy is growing up so fast and there just is not anything I can do about it.

In 9 days Colt's new bed will arrive along with a new theme for a big boy bed and we will be saying good bye to our sweet cowboy nursery. Colt is super excited to get a pirate room and can hardly wait.
