Labor Day Weekend

We started the weekend the night before at the MHS game {featured in the post before this one} and on Saturday we had a fun filled day of shopping. My husband is so good to me and loves to spoil me :) I am really blessed to be married to such a great guy. He works so hard to provide for us and goes out of his way to show me how much he loves in me in so many little ways along with the big things he does for me.
This weekend was all about furniture. Thanks to Pintrest I am really  wanting to fix up the house, redecorate and make it a bi tmore cozy. The last 3 years I feel like my home has regressed. It has been taken over by first baby equipment and now toys. I am trying really hard to find that balance. To have a beautiful home that is still a place my children feel comfortable and can be children in.We needed a few big pieces to get started. (still need a few more but am trying not to give the hubs a heart attack) Our first stop was Haverty's where I got a BEAUTIFUL entertainment center. I am so excited. I have wanted one for our family room for as long as I have lived in this house. I had the perfect one pictured and could not find it until Saturday.I have to wait a couple weeks for it to be delivered {sigh}I hate the waiting!! But I need to paint the family room first so at least it buys me a little bit of time.
Then on to SAMS for a new table. Yes.. I said SAMS. {Don't be jealous about how fancy we are} But really.. Some times they have really great furniture. And to be honest I have looked several places for a table that I love and would work with the kids. And that also, since it will be the table the littles color, do home work , play and even sometimes eat, I did not want to drop a couple of grand on it and be afraid it would be torn up. The one I found is really cute, fits the family perfect and {drum roll please} under $500. Only problem is it came about a hundred boxes.

Colt never misses the oppurtunity to turn something into a road way for his cars

ust look at that face.I mean really!!! You ust do not get cuter then this!
And of course while her bubby was playing cars, little miss had to make a phone call:)

One of Lilsfavorite things to do is kiss Colts baby pictures when we are in that part of the house:)

My crazy hubs decided that since I got furniture he needed a pet snake. Yes. A. Snake.
It is orange and black...Princeton colors
It really suprised me how much the littles loved this thing

Jeff in his man cave. {the pool house} this is where the snake also lives along with about a hundred fish and a few turtles. This man is a total nut. And I love him even more because of it.
Did I say the only problem was it came in boxes... Well the reall problem is the hubs is no mister fix it. So while he was in the man cave playing with his snake, I got to put it together all buy myself. I am proud to say I did a really good job:)

The finished project:)

I have to say I was surprised by what good quality it is. It is solid wood.

While I was at it I put together Lilly's toddler bed also.
Yulp... I ROCK!!!
All I need is a pink tool belt:)

Sunday, of course was church. I love making the boys match. They are just so darn handsome.
My two perfect little men

 Ha!! Colt and his cars
Iust love this little girl. She makes me smile
She looks so big in some of the things that she does
Our four youngest after church.
I always am a little sad when I have a picture of them together. It reminds me even more who is missing. I need to start carrying a picture of Sara for them to hold so she can be a part of all the pictures:)

On Monday... Jeff and I surprised  the littles  by dropping by the pet store and getting them a new puppy.. Eeeek!!! I am so excited and in love with this little fur ball. He is an Imperial Shih-tzu. Imperial means he will not get much bigger then 4 or 5lbs. I love seeing my littles so excited! Lilly is our puppy lover.. I have a feeling we will have a yard full of strays for years to come. But they all adore our new baby boy... Ruffles.. Colt is really good with him and it is the funniest thing to watch.
My next post will be all about Ruffles:)

And of course what is Memorial Day with out some time at the pool

The little ones are so crazy, so it keeps us from being able to do a lot in the form of travel and even some local fun things we wish we could do. But there is something said about living a simple life and just enjoying the day to day. I feel so blessed for every little and big moment I get with them.Being their mom is the greatest job on earth {but I do think I need a raise.Ha!}
