Daddy's Girl

This morning while watching Lilly love on her Daddy I was hit with so many emotions. Love of course. Pride.  But most of all thankfulness.

I am SO thankful that my baby girl has a REAL Daddy.
 A Daddy that adores her.
One that loves her as much as I do. One that supports her not only financially but emotionally.
One that is a strong spiritual leader.
A Daddy that will NEVER leave her.

I could not help but to be even a little sad. I see more then ever what I did not have with my own father.
My parents divorced when I was 5. When my Dad left  he left not only my mother but my older brothers and me. I only saw him a handful of time through out my childhood. I am so thankful to have the mother I do. She would send me cards that she would sign "Daddy" so I would think he was thinking of me. She would buy gifts at birthdays and Christmas and sign the card "Daddy" so I would feel like he cared.
This made such a difference for me growing up. It also made me love and respect my mother even more.
While most mother's would use this as an excuse to bad mouth their ex-husbands, my Mom put me first:)

I am so thankful that I will never have to do what my Mom had to do.
My daughter is and always will be a Daddy's girl.
I love my Jeff so much for so many reason's.
Most of all I love him because he loves our children.

Watching them together melts me.
I know because my daughter has a father like Jeff that she will be a better woman. She will grow up to be secure in who she is. She will have better relationships.

And just for fun...
Have you ever seen a fairy princess riding a dinosaur while holding a puppy before???

Above all, keep your love for one another at full strength...
