Daddy's Girl

Image
This morning while watching Lilly love on her Daddy I was hit with so many emotions. Love of course. Pride.   But most of all thankfulness.  I am SO thankful that my baby girl has a REAL Daddy.  A Daddy that adores her.  One that loves her as much as I do. One that supports her not only financially but emotionally.  One that is a strong spiritual leader.  A Daddy that will NEVER leave her. I could not help but to be even a little sad. I see more then ever what I did not have with my own father. My parents divorced when I was 5. When my Dad left  he left not only my mother but my older brothers and me. I only saw him a handful of time through out my childhood. I am so thankful to have the mother I do. She would send me cards that she would sign "Daddy" so I would think he was thinking of me. She would buy gifts at birthdays and Christmas and sign the card "Daddy" so I would feel like he cared.  This made such a difference...

Just some Tid Bits of the Week

For some reason these two little crazies love to make me chase them before school.  They think it is the funniest thing ever.  They both had great second days. colt did not have any accidents at all..yay.. but he did not potty in the potty ether. He held it until we got home. Wish I had that kinda of self control:)  Grandma (my Mommy) came over and we spent the day together while the little were at school. It was so great. We went shopping and to lunch then picked the babies up and came home and played. I miss her so much. She only lives 45 miles away but since she has to care for my dad after his foot surgery, we never get to spend time together. I treasure every minute with this amazing woman. Love this silly boy.  He really enjoys making us laugh.  All the sudden Colt has developed a passion for books.  I LOVE to read, so this makes me extra happy! Along with first time at CDO,  we had a few other first th...

Lilly's First Day of CDO

Image
This is Lilly's first year at Mother's Day Out.  I feel so strange not having her with me. She has been my constant companion for the past 21 months. I missed her so much all day, but it was nice not to have to chase baby at breakfast:)  I just can not believe how big my baby is getting. Lilly is so social, I know she will do wonderful at her new school.  She has great teachers and she loves to learn  She did cry when I dropped her off which broke my heart. But I looked in the window after I got Colt settled and she was already playing. I just hope she knows how much she is loved and missed. Even though she was not in CDO last year I thought it would be fun to share a picture of her this time last year just to see how much she has grown.. Plus.. I just like looking at her:)

Colts 1st Day of CDO

Finally the big day is here. Mother's Day out has started back. I have been looking forward to this for several weeks. I know the babies need a break from me as bad as I need one from them. But at the same time it is hard to let them go. I just hate not knowing what they are doing all day. Thankfully we have the best Mother's Day Out program EVER!!! At first Colt was not to excited about going. He wanted to stay home and play with Ruffles. His mood got better when he realized he got to take his blankie He has the cutest mad face EVER! He had a great first day.  I was a little nervous since this was the first time he wore his big boy underpants in public. He did have a accident, but the teacher said they never took him to the potty (hmmmmm???) so hopefully next time he will do better. And here is  picture of my little man on his first day last year {2011} And a picture that I snapped his first year {2010} I hat...

Labor Day Weekend

Image
We started the weekend the night before at the MHS game {featured in the post before this one} and on Saturday we had a fun filled day of shopping. My husband is so good to me and loves to spoil me :) I am really blessed to be married to such a great guy. He works so hard to provide for us and goes out of his way to show me how much he loves in me in so many little ways along with the big things he does for me. This weekend was all about furniture. Thanks to Pintrest I am really  wanting to fix up the house, redecorate and make it a bi tmore cozy. The last 3 years I feel like my home has regressed. It has been taken over by first baby equipment and now toys. I am trying really hard to find that balance. To have a beautiful home that is still a place my children feel comfortable and can be children in.We needed a few big pieces to get started. (still need a few more but am trying not to give the hubs a heart attack) Our first stop was Haverty's where I got a BEAUTIFU...
