St. Ann's Fair

One of my most favorite silly little family traditions is the St. Ann's Fair.
It takes place not to far from our house, so soon as it starts to go up and the kids get the first glimpse of the Farris wheel, the excitement begins!!

Oliver was such a good sport! He rode all the little kid rides with Colt and Lilly.
He was so protective over his little sister:)

Finally my little man got to ride the "big kid" rides:)

One of our favorite things about the Fair...
Yummy food..lol

Lilly played her first Carnival game:)

Lilly was so proud of her Dolphin.. Later in the day she feel asleep holding it's flipper.

This was Storrie's first time to go to the Fair ......

....and the first time ever that Brenna did not go with us. As much fun as we had... There was a dark shadow over the day.. We REALLY missed Brenna. This year Jeff just could not make the round trip to Harper Friday night and again on Saturday. That would be a little more the 16 hours on the road in less then 48 not to mention the day before he had to drive to and from El Paso for a case and had to go back that next Monday. . He wanted to make the trip to get her so badly, but he just couldn't. He was just physically excused. To be on the road for over 8 hours Friday night after working over 60 that week would of been just to dangerous for him and Brenna. He did all but beg Brenna's mom to meet half way, but she was just way too "busy".
It just breaks my heart to see my husband hurt.. And nothing hurts him more then disappointing one of his children. It just about kills him not being able to have Brenna home to participate in our family traditions not to mention just everyday, silly fun. We all miss her so much!

I feel so blessed to be married to a man that  is such a hard worker. A man that has made a great life and career all on his own. I have such respect for him. He is not only always there for me, but for our children. He puts us first in everything and no matter how busy he is with his crazy work schedule, he is never to busy  for us.

  1. Looks like you guys had fun at the fair. And you are right...fair food is thee best :) You have the most beautiful family. That stinks that Brenna couldn't join in on the family fun. Her "mom" is only hurting Brenna & that is so sad. Some day she'll pay for that...karma is a real b!tch!! So I take it you guys don't get to see her every other weekend? I know even that isn't enough time w/ her. I feel really bad for you both. I know you can't say much or anything for the matter. But please know I'm hoping & praying some day Jeff can have the father/daughter relationship that he has wanted for so so long. Take care!
