Our First Weekend at the Ranch

Two weekends ago we packed up the RV and headed to Fredricksburg / Harper to spend the weekend at the ranch.
The kids are getting better about traveling {thank goodness} Lilly even slept with out a fuss:)

Since we do not have a house yet we slept in the RV. The first morning Jeff woke us all up and told us to come look out the door.. there was the most beautiful dear maybe 15 feet away. I was struck at God's grace and love for us. It truly was breathe taking. I wish I could of gotten a picture.
But I did take a million pictures of everything else we did that weekend...lol..

We did a little exploring-- since this weekend I have got Lilly some more ranch worthy clothes. Even a pair of cowgirl boots:)... Jeff was super excited over the cactus. It grow prickly pairs.

See where the RV is? That is where our house will go. It will face a small creek

Harper is a little it of a nothing town. Seriously-- Stanton looks like a booming city next to it. Ha! But we did find this little cafe. The food was amazing! And the people have that great, small town kindness. We met the sweetest couple. They are really helping us get "plugged" in to the town. Helping find workers for the ranch and so on.
.

The kids were fascinated by the big, fake Longhorn. Lilly
kept kissing it's nose.

Then on to a day of fun at Fredricksburg.

Lilly isn't waiting on her Daddy-- She is ready to go shopping..lol

Love my silly boys!!

Colt decided he was tired and took a rest right in the middle of the walk way--lol.

This totally cracked me up-- They were having a fundraiser. Shopping for a cause. Teams of four dressed up and shopped. A percentage of what they spent went to the Boy's Club. There were several groups dressed from everything from Pretty Peacocks wearing tutu's to ladies dressed up in 50's attire.
I took a million pictures, but I will be nice and only post one of my favorites. I am a HUGE Elvis fan, so these beauties stole the show in my book!! These Elvis ladies were so much fun!!

We had lunch at the same place we did last time. The food is so good plus you eat outside-- The kids love this!!

There was a band setting up and this guy was one of the musicians. Jeff was so impressed over his beard..lol. He just HAD to get a picture with him. It looks like a casting call for Duck Dynasty to me.

We stopped off at Wal-Mart on the way out of town. Jeff let the kids pick a toy out for being so good. I was super excited that Lilly chose a Barbie Doll. It is the first time she has shown any interest. Some of my favorite childhood memories revolve around playing Barbie's with my girlfriends. And I treasure the memories of Sara playing with them. I have missed that part of having a little girl. Watching Lilly brings back so many memories of my first little princess.
The coolest part of the trip is on the way home we stopped at a small BBQ place for lunch and met the sweetest lady that was traveling with her two boys and MIL. Colt and the little became instant buddies. The neat part is that they live in Midland also. I am looking forward to a play date soon:)

Remember I said Jeff let the kids get a few things before we left town? This is what he and Oliver got-- Duck Dynasty beards.

For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end-it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
