Stitches {Colt}
Still trying to get caught up with summer blogging. My internet was acting up so I could not load pictures. Finally Jeff got it fixed. So there will be some old mixed into the what is happening now:)
About a month or so ago Brenna was helping me by bathing the little ones while I finished staining the new textured walls in the dining room. All the sudden I hear Brenna calling me while she is rushing down the stairs with a soaking wet Colt, wrapped in a towel.
Amazingly, he was not really even crying (just a little whimpering) .There hardly was any blood, but the gash was huge. I called the Doctor's office and Nurse Mandy said by the sound of it I needed to take him to the ER.
Colt did so good letting every one exam him. This really surprised me. He can be a bit..ummmm... difficult at times. He really does not like strangers touching him. But he was a total doll to every one.
This picture of these two is price less. Brenna was being so sweet.. singing to him. Telling him stories. |
This precious little boy had the whole hospital staff eating out of his hand!! He was so adorable! He kept sing the theme song to "Ghost Buster" and telling them all kind of funny little stories.
The worst part is when they came in to sew him up. They wrapped him pretty tight like a burrito and a male nurse (they needed the muscle power) came in to hold his head. Again... Colt did surprisingly well. He hardly cried. He really hated his arms being held down. (I on the other hand bawled like a baby. )
In the end.. It took 5 stitches. Colt is such a boy:) He was super proud of his stitches. He showed every one and any one who would look,,lol...
Jeff was in court and could not get away so he sent Ronnie. Thank goodness!! I left my phone in the car.. with out Ronnie's I would not of been able to get any pictures:)
And I just have to say a extra special thank you to my new neighbors. Holly and her girls were wonderful enough to watch Lilly and Oliver so that I could focus totally on Colt at the ER. This was a life savor. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family living across the street.
