Last Tuesday (December 6) was Lilly's first birthday. Can it already be a year since my beautiful brown eyed girl was born? I will never forget the love and joy I felt the first time I held her. I had so many emotions. I was so happy and so scared we would not be able to bring her home, that her birth mom would change her mind. It was one of the truest test of faith that Jeff and I had to endure.
I can not believe that my baby girl is one year old today. Nothing make you realize how fast time goes by then watching your children grow.
I can honestly say that I enjoy being a mother more then anything. I have never felt so complete.
Here are some things you Miss Lilly are up to.....
You took her 1st step right before Thanksgiving and now can take at least four. It is so sweet to see how excited you gets.
You can say "momma, dadda, hi, bye, pup pup and bub bub bub(bubba)".
You love to tap your forehead against mine or Daddy's. You think this is so funny and if we say "ouch" you just burst out in giggles.
Every night when you go to bed you hug your little stuffed puppy and say "pup pup".
You just got a new toy called, Sophie Giraffe. You ADORE it! You love to make it squeak.
You adore books. You will sit on the floor and just turn the pages over and over looking at the pictures. And when I read to you, you get so excited that you can't sit still.
You love your big brothers so much and follow them every where. You drive Colt crazy because you want to do everything he does, not to mention that you keep stealing his binkie..haha.
Lilly, you are so loving and such a cuddle bug. When we pick you up you will lay your little head on our shoulder and just hug. You give the sweetest kisses. You almost have the "pucker" face down.
I am having so much fun dressing you up and buying baby dolls for you.
We can not take you any where with out people stopping me a hundred times to tell me how sweet and beautiful you are. You just smile and make everyone heart melt.
One of my favorite times of the day is when I first get you out of your crib in the morning. You are all smiles and so sweet. You give me the best hugs and "pat" my face.
I am so thankful that God chose me to be your mommy.
You have been such a sweet blessing to our home. You made our family complete.
It was so cold out that we decided just to stay home to celebrate. Much to the boys delight we ordered pizza and gave Lilly one of her birthday gifts.
She LOVED it and was so brave. She even got the rocking down pretty fast.
I can hardly wit until Lilly's party. We decided to have it a couple weeks late. This is already crazy time. Trying to plan a party on top of it is almost to much. Next year we will have it the middle of November for the sake of my sanity:)
