3rd Grade Field Day {Oliver}

Image
I can hardly believe that in just a week that Oliver will be finished with the 3rd Grade. I will be honest.. Field Day is probably my least favorite school activity. I endured 7 of them with Sara and 7 of them with Brenna and 4 with Oliver so far. It is the one day of the year I really wish I could call in sick... Except as a mom we do not get sick days..lol. I was thinking how much I did not want to be there, when Oliver saw me. His little face lit up. He started waving like crazy, pointing at me and telling his friends "Hey.. There is my Mom". At that moment Field Day became my favorite day ever. To see the excitement, the love and the pride he had for me made me feel on top of the world. Then it hit me... I only have three more of these days with him. Only three more Field Days then he will be in JR. High. No more running up and hugging me, holding my hand and looking at me with all the love a nine year old has for his Momma. No more pointing me out to his friends l...

Muffins for Mom {Oliver}

  Last week was Muffins for Mom. It really hit me... He is in 3rd grade.. That means that there is only 3 more years that I will get to go to MFM with Oliver. He is growing up way to fast and it breaks my heart. I wish I could keep him a little boy forever!! We had so much fun. We were being silly singing goofy songs on the way. We laughed so much. This boy is the funniest, most loving kid. I feel like I am the luckiest woman alive to be his mom. The really cool thing is.. Three different a teacher and two mom's made the comment that Oliver looks just like me.  I hear that a lot and it never fails to make my heart happy:)       The other two kids stayed with Jeff.. But Oliver REALLY wanted to bring Storrie so he could show off "his" baby. He is so proud of her. It was so sweet hearing him tell his friends all about her. He says anytime some one see's Storrie "Here she is.. The star".

Easter 2014

Spending Easter at the farm was a great idea {all credit goes to Jeff}   Only problem was that in the craziness of packing I forgot the egg die and about half their Easter basket goodies. We made a quick run to Wal-Mart where all the egg die was gone.. sigh! But thankfully they had some plastic eggs and I was able to get what I needed to finish put together their Easter baskets.      Some how I lucked out and found the last Frozen Ana doll in existence.       So thankful for our little ones and the reason we celebrate Easter! In that wonderful day you will sing: "Thank you, LORD!" Isaiah 12:4-5

Easter Weeend : Part 1

We had a long weekend for Easter. We made it to the farm early Thursday. Everything is starting to get so green thanks to some recent rain. It really is beautiful .     Last time Jeff was there with the boys they started building a damn. So we went down to the little creek to help him finish it. Lilly is such a big girl! She dived right in and helped. She picked up some pretty big rocks and never complained. After she would put a rock down she would clap her hands together and say "Perfect". And most of the time she sang "Let It Go" from Frozen   Colt was a big help also. He is just amazed about everything to do with the farm.   My sweet boy picked me some flowers. They just make me happy!!!   I just thought this was a pretty picture of our house. With Spring's arrival, the farm is really starting to getting pretty.    Such a wonderful, caring big brother. Oliver LOVES his baby Storrie. And she...

Easter Weekend {part 2}

Since we were just a hour away, we thought it would be fun to go to the San Antonio Zoo on Friday. And it seems that everyone else did too..lol. There was not a parking space within a zillion miles, so Jeff and Oliver dropped me,Bren and the three littlest off by the entrance to wait on them.   Other then a very unpleasant experience in the porta potty {poor Colt is now traumatized} we had a lot of fun just goofing off.    Isn't she a doll?!     Finally the guys made it and we actually got to go into the zoo:)   My little monkeys were CRAZY about the monkeys. Lilly was super excited since she had a monkey on her top. She kept saying "We match".  They were just amazed by all the animal. Specially the unusual ones.   The lions were just amazing. So beautiful. Sadly the were sleepy. For those of you that do not know.. My crazy husband has a baby pet alligator.  So the kids got a big kick out of...
