Lilly's Face

Image
The other day Lilly was playing upstairs in Oliver's room with him and Colt. Normally she is really well behaved while up there. I was talking to my mom on the phone when Lilly came around the corner all smiles. She was super proud of herself. She said "Pu-teeee 'Illy" (pretty Lilly) A part of me almost lost it, then I decided I had two options, get upset and hurt Lilly's feelings, or make the most of what will become a wonderful memory. So I set her on the counter and started snapping away. Her outfit is ruined. A $25 dollar bottle of makeup is almost empty. And I spent a good half hour scrubbing finger prints off of the walls and stairs railings. But I have the sweetest pictures of the sweetest little girl that I will treasure for everyday of my life.       And here is my little beauty right after her second bath of the day. I had to wash her hair four times to get the make up out of it:)   This little angel keeps me on my toes, but...

January Fun {a recap in pictures}

Image
January was a fun month of learning and adventure. It seems the little ones are changing so much on a daily basis. I find my self saying what every other mom since Eve has said "I can't believe how big they are. They are growing to fast. It seems just like yesterday they were tiny babies"   They are so silly. I really feel like both of their personalities have exploded over the past few months. And wh ere ever Colt is Lilly is close behind. We always say "It's monkey see.. Monkey do" with these two.    Lilly is very proud of this little trick..lol   Colt LOVES his sweets. A passion {as you can see } he shares with his Daddy.   The weather has been so beautiful. lilly loves to take little walk through the yard.   One of their very favorite things is playing with stickers. They will spend forever putting them on themselves, one another and me. It is great because it will keep them busy for a while, but I always pay fo...

Valentine Mini Session

Image
I signed the littles up for a monthly mini photo session every month this year. I know that seems like a lot but the price is very reasonable and I thought it would be fun. Some months it will be all of them other's one or two. She does simple ones like this but also some really cool back grounds and props.I need to make sure to get one or two of Brenna also.     A mini-session is basically a 20 minute photo session. Some times they go great then others it is a challenge. This one was a challenge. The two littlest were just getting over being sick and it was almost their nap time and they had not had lunch yet. They did not want to have their photo taken at all and all Colt was interested in was the candy. When he did smile it was that lop sided grin that he does that makes him look special needs:) But some how, some way Kristi was able to capture some very sweet pictures. I was so surprised and happy. I absolutely love the one of the three ...

Stylish

Image
As I have said before, it is near impossible to get a picture of the three little ones at any time. But I have to keep trying:) I love dressing Colt and Oliver in coordinating dress clothes for church and dress Lilly to complement them. This morning I got all three of them dressed in a record 15 minutes then I spent the next 40 TRYING to get a good group shot or even a good one of them by them selves. Today they all insisted on adding "props" to the picture. Ollie had his favorite Teddy. Lilly with a puppy and Colt had a suit case. He said he was all packed to go to Strawberry Shortcake Land.. Ha!! Every time Colt saw the camera he would run away. He is such a little stinker:) Here is what I was able to get.............     As you can see my efforts at home did not result in a good picture. I thought I would try one more time at Church while Jeff was parking the car. Even though these did not turn out much better, they were t...

Pajama Day

Image
Thursday before last was Pajama Day at the littles CDO. Lilly was teething (her two year molars) and she was not feeling well at all so she stayed with me.  Colt looked so cute! He totally rocked his Sock Monkey PJ's. We woke up late and with Lil's being cranky I did not get the best pics. But thanks to my cell phone I was able to snap a few of my goofy little boy before we got in the truck. A load truck was going by so he was "keeping the noise away" How cute is this?? I love any craft that involves his picture or handprint:) I know I will treasure this one forever!     Praise the LORD, my soul...who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion...
