Colt's Surgery

Image
I swear nothing is more scary then your baby going into surgery. No matter how minor it is. There is just such a fear when your child goes under anastisa . Poor Colt has the most horrible teeth. Partly is gunics . Part is very poor nutrition by the birth mom during the pregnancy. On Friday Colt had to be at the hospital by 9am. His surgery was suppose to be at noon, but ended up not happening until after 2pm. Poor kid... He was so hungry and so thirsty (not to mention bored). But over all he did great. He only really had one melt down (before the surgery). It broke my heart.. he clung to me and cried his sweet eyes out begging for something to eat. Once the finally took him back.. the surgery itself lasted about a hour. Jeff and I where both a nervous wreck. We tried our best to distract one another. I swear it was the longest hour of our lives. Finally the let me go back to recovery. Colt was so out of it and so funny. He was not happy about the IV in ...

It's getting real!!!

Over the 4th of July weekend we took our first laod to Harper. I can not believe this is happening. What I can not believe anymore is how excited I am!!! Of course I am also heart broken to be leaving my friends. I can not imagion being away from them.. But I know this is what we need to do. Again.. We are so excited that we will be able to see Brenna on a more regular basis. And I can hardly wait until March when Sara and Mike move. It is a dream come true to have all our babies together!!! Jeff went down the end of last week and the weekend  and now our kids are officially enrolled in school and we have a PO BOX. The room we are having built on will be done in a few weeks and our friend Tony is having our new electric gate installed. I love watching God work in our lives. It is amazing how when you truly surrender to Him how everything falls into place.   Did I mention that we have cattle??? Probably not since it was a surprise to me too!!! lol.....

we are MOVING!!!!

I honestly do not even know how to start this... This is probably one of the most life changing Blog post I have ever written. After a lot of thought and A LOT of prayer Jeff and I decided we are going to move to Harper to our farm. We will be selling our home here in Midland and building one there. Until our new house is built we will be living in our farm house. Jeff is actually going to be going back and fourth for the foreseeable future. He will be living in Midland during the week and at the farm on weekends. He will still be on the school board.  This obligation is very important for him to finish. And he will still have his practice here in Midland while trying to build a practice in the area we are going to be living. His wonderful staff will operate the Midland office. Even after the Hill Country version of Jeff's Law Office gets up and running. Midland will ALWAYS be open! We are so excited about this move for so many reasons...  Number one.....
